Romsey made the most of their chances at Bishopstoke – and that was the main difference between them and opponents Eastleigh.

At the end of the day the home side converted one penalty among missed scoring opportunities – losing the battle between the newly-promoted sides 20-3.

Romsey came out of the blocks much quicker from the kick-off and took an early lead when Gavin Harbour kicked a penalty, given for killing the ball in the ruck.

Tottonians keep top spot In London 3 South-West despite losing 19-5 to a well-drilled Bognor side who deserved their victory.

Totts started brightly and took the early advantage with a try by Shane Vicory. But on too many occasions they failed to take the right options and in the end paid a heavy price as the home side clocked up 19 points.
