petty jibes. I do believe you post quite regularly on the news site. I think the clue was in "given". As you well know most Pompey fans wanted ground improvements. I think you guys just don't appreciate your stadium as it was just given to you.

The stewards on the turnstiles have disapeared because of the new system used for entry into the stadium on match days. This was introduced to stop the club loosing money by fraudulent means. The stewards may or may not have been employed in other parts of the stadium. With the bigger crowds expected this seson the club would need more stewards to control the fans.

I myself feel that the club has now moved on from the old days where all clubs were football clubs. In todays world they no longer exist as football clubs and have been replaced by football businesses. That does not mean that it is no longer fun or entertaining. Your club is what you make it. I have had a great deal of enjoyment from the last three seasons followi S F C. Nobody thought it was going to be a walk in the park this season but, by christ i am enjoying it so far. When not if we turn the corner in this league it will be even better.

For me carry on Nicola . It would be great if the Club and the Echo could build bridges instead of burning them it could then be even better.

Agreed - but I'll be very concerned if we win by more than two goals to nil. If we do so, I can see us moving over that fine line between confidence and complacency.

I'm putting bets on us winning 3-0, 4-0, 5-0 and 6-0 so that if we do I'll at least have a cash win to water down the worry. It'll be just my luck that it's 7-0.

Still, on the bright side, we might get a week off from the moaners on here. They'll have to spend the week listening to Elvis's "Old Shep" and watching "Les Miserables" videos.
