Artur Boruc in contention for a return to the Saints team after the club decided to take no further action against him following an internal investigation into complaints he swore and threw a water bottle at fans.
Supporters complained about the keeper’s conduct in the 2-1 home defeat to Tottenham and the Pole was left out of the squad to face Leeds in the Capital One Cup and West Brom on Monday night while the investigation was carried out.
After reaching its conclusion though the investigation has given Boruc the green light to resume his Saints career.
Nigel Adkins said: “We have had a thorough investigation into the situation against Tottenham.
“Obviously I didn't select him for the West Bromwich Albion game. We've had a thorough investigation that has now been concluded to the satisfaction of the football club.
“Artur is now back in contention for the remaining fixtures of the season.”
