He has really only made one big error, and got punished. Did you watch Hart last night, he dropped a few dangleberries too. No one could have dealt with Ibrahimovich though, he was different class.

I am not sure that "clapping and barking orders" is sufficient to warrant wearing the armband! Lallana leads by example and is not only gifted but also works his socks off, and has been with the club for years.

Jose Fonte is finally stepping up to the mark, and good on him for doing so, but only because Yoshida is taking all of the ball playing responsibilities from him - you'll notice that the keeper never rolls the ball out to Jose! Giving him the armband just as he is finding his feet is not the way to go.

For my mind, let's leave it as it is, not unsettle the players with moving other things that dont need to be moved.

All we need to do is keep solid and focussed until January - then look to sign a couple of new players to help out.

As for Buttner, he didn't want to come here after Man Utd came in for him. AND, if we had signed him then Luke Shaw might have just slipped through our fingers, and he looked class on Saturday!

Well said! Adam's lack of vocal encouragement to the boys has been noted. We need a captain out of the Terry Butcher mould. Remember Butch against Sweden in 1989, blood streaming from his face, but still with a clenched fist rallying the troops.

I noticed on Saturday that Jose was barking orders, perhaps he should have the armband, no disrespect to Lala but he should be concentrating n his own game, not chasing around chivying up the other players.

Jose has really upped his game in the past month or so and deserves some credit for it. He gives absolutely everything for the badge and you can't ask for more than that, even when results don't go our way. I'm proud of him. As for the keeper, I've honestly not seen enough of Boruc to make a judgement. I like Gazza though - he's young, gifted and good-looking, which means if we ever struggle to fill our exec bosses then we should open them up to hen parties - there wouldn't be a dry seat in the house. (Commercial department - you can have that idea in exchange for 10% of sales. Cheers.)

Your reference is a bit narrow, it wasn't only the Echo that conducted polls, there were several and all came up with similar responses.

must say osprey that ibrahimovich`s `wonder goal` last night was a class apart. though bbc breakfast did make me think this morning when they asked if it was `goal of the season`? i thought about all of the good goals we have seen this season, and after careful thought and consideration i compared all the goals, rickies cracker at manc, davis corker at manc, lallas at hoof and foxs sublime effort at arse! i included all teams and all goals and came to the conclusion that no it was not goal of the season! it was goal of the decade! and what a stupid question to ask! i hope gaston get 1 like that at the weekend.

Well said! Adam's lack of vocal encouragement to the boys has been noted. We need a captain out of the Terry Butcher mould. Remember Butch against Sweden in 1989, blood streaming from his face, but still with a clenched fist rallying the troops.

I noticed on Saturday that Jose was barking orders, perhaps he should have the armband, no disrespect to Lala but he should be concentrating n his own game, not chasing around chivying up the other players.

Jose has really upped his game in the past month or so and deserves some credit for it. He gives absolutely everything for the badge and you can't ask for more than that, even when results don't go our way. I'm proud of him.

As for the keeper, I've honestly not seen enough of Boruc to make a judgement. I like Gazza though - he's young, gifted and good-looking, which means if we ever struggle to fill our exec bosses then we should open them up to hen parties - there wouldn't be a dry seat in the house.

(Commercial department - you can have that idea in exchange for 10% of sales. Cheers.)

as for who should be in goal for saints, i like both gazza and kelv, not seen anywhere enough of AB to comment, whilst KD is a great shot stopper and is very vocal, i feel that PG is a better overall keeper and is the way forward, he fits the saints ideal. i do worry about his confidence but think that if he were dropped that might be a bigger knock to him. stick with him for now and see if he can prove his worth.

10. Tuh borer (dead boring and needs some valium). Probably right about a lot of stuff - but would you want someone to show you how to correctly flush the same toilet every single day of your life.

9. Strasbourg. Lives in France - but he's not ohh la la. Needs a garlic enema really.

7. Anus Mc Coke up. Angus can have a bit of a crack - but often just breaks up when he is in need of his next fix.

6. Seed. Loves Lew who can be depressing, but is often going on about Mr Saville. Don't know what to think of this chap really. Has he been buying dodgy photos and changing his wikipedia entry. Loads of multiple logons on this site and down the road.

5. Village Bob. Blows hot and cold depending on whether he understands the issues being discussed and if he has been out of the village recently.

3. Bad Belly Bill n Slugger. Both fairly happy but Slugger can get wound up when you mention the word "docks" A sore point somewhere there. Bill wants to be a comedy Simon Cowell, but obviously gets wound up thinking about how he could possibly tuck his jumper in. Thinks he is very clever.

2. SheilHa. Almost always jovial apart from when he gets technical. I think he is on valium with all those ha ha's

what you need to do is read when people correct your `facts` and learn/understand that you are not always right! so come on, you said as fact that saints had not signed anyone better than what we had, so are gaston and clyne worse than those they replaced? you said as fact that saints have loaned out better players than they kept, so is billy better than rickie? you said as fact that Many successful managers have failed when promoted to PL, so how many? and compared to howmany have succeeded? you cant just guess! i know you wont answer these questions, but then you are never wrong, as i just proved!

Sadly yes Bill. I do have some friends from your fair city which is why I have been on here sussing things out. Of course - the other reason I came on was following you and your good buddies - who have spent years on our site, Were you ever asked the same question I wonder? Sadly did that list rather quickly as was busy today. BTW - Our site is getting more interesting again, so you might find a few of us dissapearing, but then again, some might be enjoying it I spose and stay a bit longer. You do seem a bit unhappy today. Here's a general grading for how happy your posters are: Saddest to Happiest. Grade yourself accordingly 10. Tuh borer (dead boring and needs some valium). Probably right about a lot of stuff - but would you want someone to show you how to correctly flush the same toilet every single day of your life. 9. Strasbourg. Lives in France - but he's not ohh la la. Needs a garlic enema really. 7. Anus Mc Coke up. Angus can have a bit of a crack - but often just breaks up when he is in need of his next fix. 6. Seed. Loves Lew who can be depressing, but is often going on about Mr Saville. Don't know what to think of this chap really. Has he been buying dodgy photos and changing his wikipedia entry. Loads of multiple logons on this site and down the road. 5. Village Bob. Blows hot and cold depending on whether he understands the issues being discussed and if he has been out of the village recently. 4. Osprey. Mostly jovial. But can get more distressed when he has to correct your spelling, or when he has to use his other 'Don' computer. I bet it has sticky pads, and has got a crap screen.. 3. Bad Belly Bill n Slugger. To be fair...if the PST does keep you lot afloat, I'll take that as a positive for financially struggling lower league clubs everywhere.
