think hughes is under more pressure has got players in at this level .they are defenatly under achieving .where as the saints come up from 2 leagues .but if you have lost 8 out of 11 games .then the media will go obn about the manager and the bookies .but that decision on both counts is entirely the boards decision.i think both will survive this time.but a couple more loses for either in home matches.would put the pressure on /homke is where it matters .that puts more pressure on hughes not a win at home.maybe saints can take advantage of this .another big challenge

We need a bit of luck today. I don't want NA to go, but if one of these teams lose today, I think the losing manager will be out of a job within the week, and there is no point ditching Adkins as we will be back to RL and his managerial merry-go round.

The 2 of them are so useless they even thought Yoshida was involved in a friendly midweek, when he was, of course, playing a WC qualifier.

I'll admit it that I'm a major Adkins doubter, que the abuse. It's not so much that we've been losing a lot of games, it's the slow, predictable way we've been playing. And the mucking around with the three goalkeepers and the lack of foresight regarding the defensive situation. But today we look dangerous. I really hope, long term, Nigel turns it around. I'll be the first to say I was wrong about hin.

I agree, Tony. No doubt he's not playing well enough to start matches but he has done okay and is NOT the liability some make him out to be.

The one first half moment my jaw dropped was when Rickie strayed a bad pass and Rangers broke, then we won the ball back and Spiderman did the same. If Guly had messed either of those passes up, he'd be getting slated on here AND had Rangers scored from that, we'd not be too happy right now.

Anyone listening to Solent? I bet big Dave is saying, 'What Saints mustn't do now is let QPR score an early second-half goal.' :)

Gazza had 15 games for gillingham, and at 20 years of age, it's way too much to ask of him, especially considering the back four. I agree it would be good to get a better one in.

not knocking Rickie at all.. we have the dominance and ability through to the front.. at this stage of the end game that bit of pace can put the game to bed for us. Rickie is doing really well...

It's in now anyway.. so brilliant.. 2-3 Saints... wish the commentators would praise us instead of just going off on qprs uselessness.... taxi! taxi for Mr Hughes

They'll just say that one swallow doesn't make a summer, Dan. Remember, they're NEVER wrong.

Today, I loved five things:
1. After QPR's goal, the heads didn't drop, we pushed on, full of belief.
2. The overall performance. 3-1? Hell, we outplayed them.
3. The fans. They got what they deserve for their support. I believe the average 'away' Saints fan to be the example certain others (no names mentioned) should follow. Totally loyal, totally committed and they sing their hearts out, come win, draw or defeat.
4. Every player played well (Gazza aside, who will come good - but it'll be interesting to see who NA selects next week). There has been justified criticism of Punch and Adam for not helping their fullbacks. That seemed better today.
5. It'll shut the WUMs & skunts up for a few days.

MOTM? I agree with others above, Punch; but Cork's made a hell of a difference and is working well with Spiderman and Adam........

Watching it on livestream I can say that yet again we play some of the most attractive football which is great however it is nearly always one or six passes too many..

..Lallana and Puncheon have to think ahead, to often they remind me of on a bad day Glen Cocheral the headless chicken, on a good day young Giggsy who drove SAF to despair by constantly ufcking up the final ball or overplaying it...we play sensational stuff at times worthy of top six...

...but ffs put it to some use, line up about six times as many shots for example..for all the stats we could have had many many more chances in this and almost every other game.

PS all of us who wanted a new goalkeeper were half right, yes an understudy to learn the ropes and eventually replace him but we can now see after this number of games it was defensive howlers that cost us not KD who is still the best goalkeeper we have.

well I blame adkins for this what other
manager would substitute a seventeen year old with just one game under his belt for a player who has only played about three hundred games.and then compounds that by taking ramerez and lambert off, whats up with him.well I'm sorry but 21shots and only 15 on target just aint good enough.and as for lambert
only scoring the same goals total as tevez and torres well that aint good enough either.and as for cortese, what sort of leader is he, only investing 33 mill on players, disgraceful.
winning 1-3
away from home and playing great
stuff as well just shows how far out of his depth adkins is.

he played like a donkey and we lost three points when he was played way too early. If its makes you happier to see points thrown down the drain just so you can play the 5 year old in the playground then what a sooper sooper fan you are. Personally I would have rather he returned to the team when he was fit, but hey it takes all sorts.

I also pay my bills on time without being taken to court -- yet alone ever twice!!
Is it my falt that QPR had an off day??
Let's put things in to perspective, Saints beat the team that is rock bottom of the league, fair play to them.
But the hysterical celebrations on here are beyond belief and completely OTT! -- the happy clappers would do well to remember that one swallow doesn't make a summer and one win doesn't guarantee PL safety.
They should save their celebrations until the end of the season.
Now --- I could readily understand such relief and rapture from the Directors and Staff of Solent Interiors, when shyster Cortese eventually pays them, that would really be against all the odds and something to really cheer about!

Just got back from the game and really pleased for the team, the fans and NA. We now have to build on this win and we mustn't lose focus and get carried away. We have to play Newcastle next then Norwich these will not be easy games. Without taking anything away from Saints, QPR apart from the first 15 minutes in the second half, we're woeful!

The positives from today's game are that I think Fonte is improving with each game, Cork has clearly added a zest to the midfield (I'd love to see with JWP) Puncheon was busy and terrorised QPR, and Shaw is an exciting young prospect.

The negatives are Lambert, yes he scored but still looks lazy and though he doesn't want to be playing, Spider continuously gave the ball away and Ramirez does not look a £12 million player.

For the next game I'd like to see Spider rested and JWP start!

These are only my opinions I'm not saying I'm rightvandvi don't wish to offend anyone!

Dear friends,
I must admit to predicting that QPR would beat Saints by 2 clear goals and stating that, if proved wrong, I would never post on here again.
But it set me thinking, not even the greatest intellects can foresee really unusual events, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes erupting and QPR having an off day and playing the worst they have done all season.
How else could Saints have won so convincingly?
Therefore, despite my earlier declaration, I do not see why a one in a million, unforseeable event, such as Saints winning away, should deprive you all of the benefit of my experience and wisdom.
I apologise if the uncertainty of ever hearing from me again has caused you sleepless nights but I am happy to confirm that I will carry on posting!

Dear friends, I must admit to predicting that QPR would beat Saints by 2 clear goals and stating that, if proved wrong, I would never post on here again. RYRIHF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! TEBOURBA

We have been playing well since West Ham but much improved since Cork came back. He was terrific again today, as was Puncheon (never thought I would say that), as was Lallana. Fonte is, I think, gradually getting to the pace of the Premier League but not yet sure he will do.

Beginning to think there is something wrong with Lambert – the dropping and substituting and his body language looks a bit negative – wonder if he has a fitness issue or maybe just fallen out with NA.

I watched it on line today but listened to Radio Solent at half and full time. Absolutely ludicrous that Merrington claimed he has been clamouring for this formation all season. All he has said, week after boring week, is 442. We are much better with 4411. He has been out of the game far too long to be a credible summariser. Time for a substitution, methinks. Our shape now is good and we played great stuff today, as we did in the second half against Spurs and at times against WBA.

Shaw is looking good but at that age he will have periods where he loses his form. Later on today, he began to struggle and the Fox substitution was a good one, as was Davies for Ramirez who can’t yet do 90 minutes. Guess Fox will do as cover but need a new left back in January.

Goalkeeper looks a bit of a conundrum. I like Gazza but his inexperience shone through today. Might well see Davies back next week.

I have high hopes for JWP – looks like good cover for Cork. Don’t think he can do Morgan’s job but he has been a bit dodgy the last couple of games. Gave the ball away in dangerous places today. Might need a rest for a couple of games.

I can think of one thing worse than someone who doesn't stick to their word.
That is a person who employs a company to do work for him, such as, shall we say refurbishing the Mick Channon Suite, has a good job done by the company, uses the facility and makes money by doing so but refuses to pay the bill -- thus endangering the livelihoods of honest hard working men and their famiies.
The bill was due for payment in May the shyster was ordered to pay it by court order in August, he did not do so and was ordered again in Nov by the court, so far SI haven't received a penny.
That my dear 101 is the character of a true out and out shyster aka Nicola Cortese --- your hero!!
It's a wonder he has the b*lls to show his face in public --- oh! -- I forgot -- he doesn't!!
MLT was always right on the pitch and equally right about this shyster!!

you have been shown to know nothing about football and nothing about saints! (still no answer to my prem coach JD question, its easy just use google like you do for all your facts!).
do you know tthe company still havent been payed? and how do you know? are you the boss of said firm or just a worker? and you are wrong again! no surprise there then. all firms delay payments as long as they can. do you know the inside info on this deal? i dont so i cant comment on this deal! oh and a person who will not stick to their word is far worse! i had purchased flags, bunting, party poppers, booze, a hall and dj for your leaving party, after all i thought a person `of great intellect` would realise that once they make a great announcement like yours, they should have the courage of their convictions and do the things they said they would! people fought and died for you to be able to make such statements, and if your friend hitler had won you wouldnt be able to talk such nonsensical carp!
you dont have `readers` what you have is saints fans who love their team and wont have things like you run their team down for no reason.

well played today saints you made the medias fav QPR look awful! you played as a team and showed that you cant just buy 3 new teams in 2 years and be a success. MH is the type of prem experience coach that some on here would love to have had at saints. well NA showed today that experience isnt everything! MH has a poor record! P26 W6 D4 L16.

So Tebourba's forecast was wrong -- QPR were at their worst this season and Saints were at their best -- it happens --- move on.
Tebourba may not be the favourite of the happy clappers it is true, but his actions, unlike that of weasel Cortese, has not landed him in court to the shame of SFC and he doesn't possess the ignorance or arrogance of the shyster to ignore one court order and be taken to court a second time and risk the livelihoods of honest working local men by not paying his dues.
Cortese is beneath contempt.

Honest working people work for contractors and take work directon from them, they then get paid for their efforts.

Cortese is beneath your contempt, and you are entitled to your opinion. I respect that.

You have stated your opinion, now please move on.....we have won a valuable three points today. I am very happy about this and so should you be if you care about our team.

I have been posting on here for quite a few years, enjoy the banter, manage a couple of trans-atlantic trips a year to take in a live game, home or way. I am not controversial and try to go with the flow. Lots of topics to discuss, and lots of fun and interest to be had just doing it.

Like most others on here I actually laugh at the comments from Kent141, PDID, Pompey in Spain, and all the others that "deserve mention". We are actually all football fans, and this is all part of the fun.

But you, sir (or madam), are a one-issue merchant from the depths of your own mind. You have an axe to grind - can't you see that this separates you from the other "wind up merchants" that come on here.....who at least give us all a laugh!

Get over it and enjoy the beautiful game.

3pts against the Toon next weekend would be nice for us.

If a contractor goes bust and the majority that do, are forced in to that situation, not from being careless and inefficient but from lack of cash, due to wealthy clients not paying them on time, in acccordance with the signed and agreed contract
The contractor's staff get the bullet, are forced on to the dole and their families suffer.
Consequently the contractor's suppliers do not get paid and they may in turn go bust and their employees get the bullet.
All because of a dishonourable wealthy client!!
I expect the happy clappers condone such behaviour by their hero the omnishambler--- maybe when it is one of them that gets put on the dole queue by the actions of people like Cortese they may adopt a different attitude.

As a clinical psyho analyst I can tell you sir that you need help! No, I'm not joking and I can tell this from your posts.
Obssessive vitriol which is aimed at one target indicates an insecure and wounded individual who has compulsive and illusionary tendencies. Denial indicates an unalterable state of mind even when presented with absolutes and is a compulsive disorder. What is worrying the most is that you speak of yourself in the 3rd person...this is a dangerous disorder and common traits are ignorance, arrogance, superiority complex, Subjects tend to believe what they say to be true and when presented with reality create a dual pesonality for deflection. This way they can still be right (in their mind) even when proved wrong and borders on schizophrenia!

he played like a donkey and we lost three points when he was played way too early. If its makes you happier to see points thrown down the drain just so you can play the 5 year old in the playground then what a sooper sooper fan you are. Personally I would have rather he returned to the team when he was fit, but hey it takes all sorts.
You told us that he would NOT play until December. You were totally, completely and utterly wrong. You knowledge was not as all-encompassing as you claimed. Be a man and admit it.

Two independent, unbiased courts, weighing up all the evidence, declared Solent Interiors were right and SFC, led by the omnishambler were wrong;
making the judgement that SFC should cough up, with interest, albeit 6 months late.
The omnishambler, was probably
hoping, if he delayed payment long enough, that Solent Interiors would go bust and that he wouldn't have to pay at all.
Unfortunately for the omnishambler Solent Interiors are a well run company and his evil plan didn't work.
Lawyers acting for Solent Interiors say there are even bigger actions pending I hope they take the omnishambler to the cleaners, with the maximum possible publicity.
I don't expect any of the happy clappers to accept this, they probably think the court arbitrator is schizophrenic, like everyone else including Solent Interiors MLT and me , who are prepared to show the omnishambler in his true light.
There's none so blind ----------------.

No-one has accused any of:

The court arbitrator
Solent Interiors or
MLT

of being schizophrenic. Just you.

You really do need to sort out your feelings for Cortese. You can't sit on the fence like this.

Thanks for you kind words --- like you and I, there are a few posters on here who have the grey matter to contribute intelligent comments and don't resort to thinly disguised four letter expletives, having said that, I may crediting them with a brain cell or two it's probably the case that they never learned to spell!
I have a very close, hardworking relative, excellent at his job, whose small business failed because of shysters like Cortese not honouring their obligations and paying on time.
there are 100's of such cases, all causing great hardship whilst the fat cats like Cortese get away with it.
Congratulations to Solent Interiors for bringing Cortese to book and I wish them the best of luck in their future court actions against him.
Anyone earning £12k a week, who doesn't pay his bills, has to be taken to court and sacks 25 year service programme sellers, earning a few quid a week by text, with 3 days notice is IMO beneath contempt.
That's only my opinion of course but at least I have a clear conscience these fat cats have no conscience at all.

You seem fixated on always being right and being the most intelligent poster on here. You've referred to yourself in the third person.

You post as though the debt to Solent Interiors was a personal debt of Cortese's. It wasn't. You need to get a sense of perspective about this.

I'd take the advice that was given above seriously; you need to see a psychiatrist about your obvious fixation on one subject, namely Nicola Cortese. You seem unable to post on any other subject.

Try your GP as a first step; they'll refer you to someone who can help you.

I'm being serious, by the way.

According to Saints own web site it states that old Nic is responsible for the day to day running of the club.
Therefore it is inconceivable to me that old Nic was unaware of a £60k debt due to be paid in May and a court judgement in August to pay up followed by another in November.
Either he is totally incompetent at running the day to day affairs of SFC or he is a shyster knowingly choosing to delay the fair and timely payment to a supplier.
Take your pick, you can't have it both ways -- I know which one I would choose!

Strewth mate, you are an odd one, do you know that you come across as a self opinionated bully? Not the run of the mill supporter, although I guess you might be a Saints fan, not very loyal though. Reading back through the last months posts you do seem to have a problem with Nicola Cortese, what on earth brought that on? Not many seem to agree with you though, and I can guess why.

I'm not in the habit of entering into conversations with people who are clearly disturbed (and I mean that seriously).

Please do go and see your GP and let him know you're fixated on a situation involving a person who doesn't affect your life in any way at all. He will be able to put you on to someone who will be able to get your mind working in a more productive way. This situation is quite clearly eating you up and affecting the way you behave and talk, so you need to get it sorted out.

Good luck (and I mean that genuinely).

This.

I have nothing against Tebourba, or their opinions, but it pains me to have to trawl through so many posts on here that essentially say the same thing over and over like a broken record.

Anywhose, congrats to the lads, onwards and upwards :-)

Tebourba may not be the favourite of the happy clappers it is true, but his actions, unlike that of weasel Cortese, has not landed him in court to the shame of SFC and he doesn't possess the ignorance or arrogance of the shyster to ignore one court order and be taken to court a second time and risk the livelihoods of honest working local men by not paying his dues.
