Gazzaniga puts Norwich nightmare to bed (From Daily Echo)

My heart says Gazza but my head says Kelvin. Either way I will be right behind them Roll on Saturday.

I think the lad is better than our other option of Kelvin,,,,Boruc? I'd rather play Borat in goal,,,the problem with goalkeeping errors is that there is nowhere to hide so they get highlighted much more,,,,he has made some quality saves that have kept us in games but his howlers is highlighted,,,keep the faith with the lad,,he'll come good

I didn't see the goal that Gazza let in until Saturday. Beforehand, it sounded as if it was a complete howler, according to the so called "experts". From what I could see, it was a fierce shot, he was possibly a little unsighted and it did take a slight deflection. Over the weekend I saw many other shots not saved, by much more so called experienced and not a lot was said about them. Yes, he is young and inexperienced. Surely some of the responsibility should be shouldered by the rest of the defence.
.I have no idea why NA isn't using KD at the moment. There again I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.
I am convinced we will improve and survive in the Premiership. Next season will see an even greater improvement.

We need a top quality keeper. Gazanigga displays the sublime and the ridiculous. We deserve someone more consistent than that. Kelvin is past his best. Boruc is no better and allegedly upset fans.

He is still young. When he has to play instinctively (reflex saves) he is excellent, but when he has time to think the doubt creeps in which it would do with any 20 year old playing in this league.
If he was a 20 year old left back and the ball went under his foot nobody would bat an eyelid, but because he is in goal it counts.
As the team settles in front of him his confidence will grow.
My money is on him.

Up to this point in time the site hasn't be bombarded by inane comments from our resident POMPEETROLWUMS.
They achieved their objective of totally dominating the previous disscussion points all weekend.
This could and should have been stopped by the Shhhhhhhhhhhhh campaign.
It has been quite noticable that many of the varied posters on here have declined to post.
Wonder why?

I wasnt as much of a "Howler" as peopel have made out. That said he should have stopped it, and we should have set up to deffend it MUCH better

Fair play to boruc for not taking any rubbish off the blanket wearing, flask drinking boring **** in the Chapel who think it's ok to boo your own Goalie. They got what they deserved.
Regarding the Goalie situation, Kelvin makes more mistakes so Gazza is our best choice at the moment.

6 POINTS against reading and sunderland and we must all fight for victory.

Agree with Seed that if 4 points up for grabs - then beating sunderland will be really good and help the fight for survival.

fulham tickets will probably make general sale and if not there is always the neutral stand.

Let's change up gear and pick up the pace ... liverpooool was not really good enough in terms of performance - although defensively there is progress.

Being honest - I read the back page of the Echo today and read that the occasion got to the players - it's a sickener as anfield is a shithole and it did not affect any of the fans ....

To be fair to the players 4-5-1 is damage limitation and they are not to blame for that. Lack of composure was a problem ......

a goalie for now shay given a goalie for the future butland we need to sort it now!

Get Gazza out on loan before the lad can do any further damage. He can get the experience in the Championship or div 1.

Get an experienced keeper in (on loan if necessary) or see how KD gets on, he doesn't become a bad keeper overnight. We'd probably be at least 4 points better off if KD had been in goal for the past couple of home games.

Blind optimism from two people who really should go to Specsavers.

It wasn't a "fierce shot", he wasn't even "possibly a little unsighted" and it did not take "a slight defelection".

Kelvin got given his chance and showed he wasn't up to it, we wouldn't be 4 points better off as more then likely he would have made more mistakes (hence why he hasn't been chosen).

The famous quote was that the great PETER SHILTON was worth 10 points a season to whoever he played for.That was back in the days of only 2 points for a win.Now he would be worth 20 plus points a season.
The 3 keepers NA has played this season have all blundered and let in soft goals so we need a proven premiership keeper to help keep us in the top flight.
Come january i would try for Brad Friedel.There is talk that he is wanted back at Blackburn.If that is a case how about going in for the current Blackburn keeper PAUL ROBINSON.
Talking keepers i see TOMMY FORECAST actually got a start for Gilingham this weekend.They lost 2-0. Oh well we can forget about Tommy then.
Gazza's display on saturday was ok in my book so i expect him to start on saturday unless Nigel feels that so much is at stake in the READING match that he brings back old hand Kelvin D.

Is this the same Given who can't get into an Aston Villa team which we beat 4-1? No thanks! As for Butland he's been over-hyped, mainly due to the England goalkeeping coach being the Birmingham coach, so he's been put in the spotlight. It's not as if Butland doesn't make mistakes, for England he ended up kicking the ball straight to the striker, and he also conceded 5!! against Barnsley. Gazza is just as good, if not better than Butland, but didn't get the hype because of the above and not being English.
