Forest want Sharp to stay permanently

Nottingham Forest are keen to make Billy Sharp’s loan move permanent when the transfer window opens.

The striker moved to the City Ground in August on loan for the season and has scored six times since his arrival at the Championship side.

Forest boss Sean O’Driscoll has admitted he would like to agree a deal for the 26-year-old, right, next month if he can.

“Everything has a price. But it is whether Southampton want to sell,” said the man who was in charge at Doncaster when Sharp was signed.

“I am not sure, because we have not had that conversation.

“I’m not sure there are any fans in the country who don’t like Billy Sharp."
