Saints have decided not to appeal against Ryan Bertrand’s red card.
The left back was given his marching orders by referee Michael Oliver late on in the 1-0 defeat to Swansea at St Mary’s.
Though Ronald Koeman said after the game that he believed the offence was only worthy of a booking, there was little chance of an appeal proving successful.
Saints decided not to pursue the matter and Bertrand will now miss the games against QPR, West Ham and Liverpool as he serves out a three match ban.
Matt Targett is likely to be called upon to deputise for Bertrand.
