THE two Manchester clubs will battle to sign Saints star Sadio Mane, according to today's gossip.
The Sun is reporting that Manchester City have joined rivals Manchester United in trying to sign the Senegalese forward.
The 23-year-old, signed from Red Bull Salzburg in 2014, was linked with a move away from St Mary's in the January transfer window but nothing materialised.
The Sun claims that City are looking at Mane ahead of new manager Pep Guardiola taking charge due to his versatility and pace.
