ADAM Lallana is an injury doubt for Saints ahead of tomorrow’s match at Swansea.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who has been an ever present this season, had to sit out training yesterday after hurting his calf in the 0-0 draw with Sheffield United.
Lallana will travel with the squad to Swansea and be assessed further tomorrow with coach Jan Poortvliet giving him every opportunity to prove his fitness.
At his tender age and with Lallana’s physical fitness, Poortvliet believes he can keep up with the rigours of playing so many games but he is wary of the need to give him rest to let his injury settle down.
He said: “Adam was hurt on his calf and he didn’t train yesterday.
“We don’t want to miss him because he’s a key player but we will see what we can do.”
