JAMIE White’s hat-trick helped Saints reserves to a comprehensive 4-1 victory at Plymouth yesterday.
Despite falling behind to Jamie Mackie’s early strike, Mark Wotte’s side rallied to claim a comfortable win, thanks to White’s treble and a strike from Matt Paterson.
Reserve coach Wotte was delighted with the display – particularly that of White.
“Whitey was excellent,” said the Dutchman.“He played the first half on the left side and then played in the hole behind the striker and he was so dangerous.
“I think the hole is a very good position for him. It worked very well, with Matt Paterson up front working his socks off and I was really pleased to see it.”
