ALAN Pardew has reacted angrily to the “complacent” attitude of some of his players following their first league win of the season.
And he has warned that some of them face a swift exit from the club if they don’t buck up their ideas.
The Saints boss said he was as disappointed as he had been at any point since taking over after watching his players’ lacklustre reaction to victory over Yeovil in training.
He was also annoyed with the performance in a dismal 2-0 defeat for the reserves at Reading on Tuesday afternoon.
Pardew has read the riot act to some of his young players in particular.
And ahead of the long trip to take on Carlisle tomorrow, he has warned them he will not accept anything other than a winning mentality at the club.
He said: “Complacency was the overriding emotion on Tuesday because the training was awful."
