Our most comfortable away win of season - Bees boss

Andy Scott Andy Scott

BRENTFORD boss Andy Scott rubbed salt into Saints’ wounds by describing the Bees' win at St Mary’s as their most comfortable away victory of the season.

Scott's men returned home to London with three points, after a 2-0 success on the south coast.

It was their fifth away win in a row and means they are now officially League One’s best team on the road.

“Of the last five away wins that was probably the most comfortable,” said Scott.

“We could have scored a couple more.

“It was a very impressive performance.

“We have to enjoy days like these and performances like this – it’s the culmination of a lot of hard work.

“It was excellent team work, we created good chances and defensively the goalkeeper and the back four were fantastic.”

Of course it was comfortable.

You only had to look at the starting line-up to see how it was gonna go.

No BARNEY - No FONTE - No CHAPLOW - No RICHARDSON

What did everyone expect ??? It was only gonna go one way.

NIGEL can huff and puff all week with his B team or C Team but they are going nowhere.

Other Options are out on loan leaving the bench with no-one.

Don't know what is going on with Barney - one source said he was having an injection to manage his problem - now we don't see him for weeks.

With Rickie not firing on all cylinders and no Barney - Saints will continue to fire banks and lose games.

Fans have been calling for cover and more players all season.

COYR.

The players need to take a long hard look in the mirror. Not good enough.

I expect the Walsall manager said the same thing this afternon ! This is one crazy league and every time i think we have blown it the top teams shoot themselves in the foot. Christ does that make us underdogs next wek now? Think NA underestimated the opposition but without his key players he probably hoped he had enough in the locker to beat the Bees. How wrong he was .Anyway got my tickets for the famlly for Boxing Day and hope RL doesnt eat too much turkey as he is slow enough already.

Can't argue with him, we were diabolical and absolute sh!te! A pub team would have put in a better performance, like I've said earlier "WE" made them look better than they were!

What a foolish man, Brentford were awful , saints were awful , however the difference was no more than our keeper had a howler , their keeper had a blinder . Kelvin cockup on first goal , suspect and too slow for the second ( we all have off days ). Their keeper made three blinding saves in the first half alone , davis made one save all game. We were poor , but Brentford comfortable ?? what a tw-t.

If it helps Robk, I was in the away end, as I have been for four of our five away wins this season, and yes, it was the most comfortable. Your defence couldn't cope with our strikers, and our defence - Osbourne and Legge were outstanding - could easily cope with yours. Yes, both goals were Kelvin's fault, but given that De Prado was the only one of your players who looked like he cared, that's why we felt comfortable.

Not sure your strikers were much of a threat, the two goals were a keeper howler from a twenty five yard average shot & our defenders asleep while your guy nipped in to score. However, you were a very well organised team and we struggled to break you down.
Your keeper did make a few good saves though, so you need to thank him for keeping you in it in the early stages.
No getting away from it though, we had a bloody awful afternoon!

Hooray!
Two sensible posts without any asterisks in lieu of swear words, without a profusion of unwarranted exclamation marks and without the worn out use of the really childish 'lol'.
Thank you Iain for your constructive and honest opinion from the away supporters' point of view. We need to hear sensible opinion from the opponents' camp after a game because all home fans can easily end up convincing themselves that there are no real problems to sort out.
Thank you also Maine Lobster for responding to Iain in like manner.
