CHE Adams scored twice to help Saints return to winning ways on Tuesday night against Coventry City.
The Scotland international diverted Kyle Walker-Peters' long-range drive into the net after Haji Wright sent a penalty onto the crossbar.
Adams grabbed a second just before halftime to see Saints head into the break with a comfortable two-goal lead.
Jake Bidwell pulled one back for the away side to set up a nervy finish to proceedings at St Mary's.
