I think I’ve found the ultimate cure for a hangover – it’s a ride called Vertigo in the middle of the Isle of Wight festival.

Having had no breakfast I was a bit dubious about letting myself be thrown around a ride at high speed but it actually proved to do the trick.

Not only was it a total thrill but I got to see a view of the festival sight high above 55,000 people below all lapping up Simple Minds who are on stage now.
