I WAS quite dismayed at Romsey Councillors wanting to reject a plan, and not agree with Bradbeers extending their property. One reason – with so many shops closing and staff losing their jobs, if Bradbeers were able to take on around 30 employees, it would be great.
As an elderly lady, I go into Romsey, and I love Romsey. My favourite shop is Bradbeers.
You can buy fashion, the wool shop ladies are so pleasant, the gents’ staff very obliging, kitchenware staff always on hand to help, in fact it’s great, and when you’re my age and worn out, you can relax and have a meal in the lovely restaurant.
In fact, it’s like a small John Lewis, and by improving facilities, surely it will bring in more visitors to Romsey. All I can say is good luck, Bradbeers. I hope you get your wish.
