WHY am I not surprised that you are reporting that the new automated system on the Itchen Bridge is a shambles?
What were our council thinking of by putting local people out of work in favour of an automated system? Shame on you. I would be interested to see the figures on the payback period of the system.
I would sooner see local people kept employed than save a few pounds. How much do we all value a “good morning” rather than a machine that only causes more congestion?
