THE lung cancer drug Tarceva has now been added to the list of life-saving medicines denied to people in England while being available to those in Scotland.

NICE stands for National Institute for Clinical Excellence. It should be renamed Not In Cheated England.

In England pensioners pay for central heating, students pay top-fees, most of us pay for eye-tests, but none of these apply in Scotland.

Recently, a petition of four million signatories opposing post office closures was delivered to 10 Downing Street.

Over a million people marched in London against the Iraq war, as did hundreds of thousands to highlight the devastation of countryside communities.

All over England local demonstrations occur daily.

None of these arrows of protest even dent the government's impenetrable armour of arrogance.

There is only one political weapon that will shake all Conservative, Liberal Democrat and Labour politicians out of their complacency. This is an English Parliament. They are terrified of it.

Therefore, whatever your cause is, members of all campaign groups should unite in demanding an English Parliament.
