RECENTLY after I had done a small job I decided to go into town and try to get myself some trainers.
I was disgusted at the price to park in the city centre now most parking meters are £2 for an hour.
What does the council think you can do in a hour?
I went on round to Bernard Street and even there it is ££3.60 for two hours.
I drive an Iveco van for my work so I can’t use the multi-storeys but I most certainly will not be shopping in the centre of Southampton unless I have to.
And the council wonders why the shops are deserted. What have we got in the the civic centre?
GEORGE LANE, Bitterne, Southampton.
