WITH all the undoubted problems which will be experienced following the cuts to bus routes starting next month, I was very pleased to hear that our campaign to save the Westwood Road route has been successful.
Along with the residents and in particular Audrey Boys our input has helped persuade the ‘Powers That Be’ that a long road, peopled by a large number of elderly residents, did indeed merit a bus service.
I was delighted to hear that commencing July 1, Wheelers Travel Connect will be running a service from the Chilworth roundabout down The Avenue through Highfield and back through Westfield Road to The Avenue Great news for the residents.
