FOR a person who in all probability has never met Nigel Farage, Sam Snook (Letters, July 3) jumps to an assumed opinion of our leader.

So he earns £100,000 per annum as do all other MEPs of any denomination, he smokes, he drinks, and he sometimes swears as well. So what? He’s human. I’d say Sam Snook’s outpourings are surely aimed at the wrong man and certainly the wrong party.

He moans about the recession we’ve borne for the past years, the mass unemployment while many are living on less than £15,000 a year (I am one, a pensioner), I suppose that’s Nigel’s fault as well.

No, Sam Snook, all these things you cannot lay at Nigel’s or UKIP’s door. We are the citizens who are trying our best to extricate this country from many (not all) of its troubles and it certainly is not Nigel’s fault if he’s paid the salary to match the job. Remember, he’s the leader of a ‘Not so rich’ party.

Try voting UKIP at the next election day and like me, you’ll be able to say: ‘Don’t blame me’ for this country’s troubles.
