I’VE been reading in the Echo (January 1) about a Hampshire family threatened with deportation despite being good citizens and neighbours, and having worked in NHS and social care and other appointments for nine years, never claimed benefits, have a good home and been no trouble.
Having just opened our doors to other foreign people with no homes or jobs to go to, maybe not speaking the language, do they think this a land of milk and honey?
They will be a strain on our schools, doctors, dentists, hospitals and where are all these homes coming from for them?
We are already sinking with all these new houses being built at present.
Are these good people easy targets? There are plenty in this country I’d like to get rid of before deporting a law-abiding couple.
MRS S DUNN, Totton.
