I BELIEVE adding fluoride to the water supply is seriously misguided. Tooth decay is caused, in the main, by sugar.
We know that humans eat far too much of this pretty toxic substance.
So it would seem that the sensible route would be to avoid sugar and clean our teeth efficiently, rather than spending large amounts of public money on adding fluoride to our drinking water, a drug which most Western countries have already declined to add to their water supply. Surely it is best to have neither sugar nor fluoride in our diet.
Fluoride’s role in the decline of tooth decay is in doubt.
Tackling poverty and nutrition would show far more significant results.
