MANY years ago in America it was found by the local hillbillies that because of the water they were using, they were getting enamel deposits in their teeth. This for them was a good thing as flossing wasn’t invented.
I visualise some hillbilly picking his teeth with a twig, saying this fluoride saves on dentist bills. He couldn’t have seen what a furore it would cause. Statistics show that US citizens are subjected to fluoride naturally about 60 per cent, whilst we in the UK suffer only two per cent, but the experts are trying to change that. Do you wonder why the glare from American family photos results from the whiteness?
As an elderly citizen who has no expert opinion to offer, I think I know what I would prefer.
If there are other ingredients which are detrimental to the wellbeing of our children, then they must be named in a manner we can all understand.
Apparently fluoride comes from the soil, which could well contain other poisons.
That hillbilly did not visualise what time, energy and money has been spent.
