I FEEL that I need to write to you about the dangers on our roads.
Every morning, when I walk to school with my mum I see drivers on their mobile phones, eating their breakfast, putting makeup on, shaving, drinking mugs of tea or coffee or turning left at a no left turn when we have a green man to cross the road.
Sometimes we have to get out of the way for them.
This happens in Portsmouth Road with the junction of St Anne’s Road, Woolston, and a few drivers every morning turn into a one way street that is a no entry road and nearly knock us over. Cars and vans also do that on the way home.
Also people park on double yellow lines and zigzags around the edge of Ludlow Junior School, where it says ‘do not park on these lines’ in capital letters!
Couldn’t someone try and make our roads a bit safer? How about making the traffic lights on St Anne’s Road make noise?
Hoping someone can make the roads and my journey to school safer!
