Can’t trust anything Labour says...

Daily Echo: Cllr Jeremy Moulton Cllr Jeremy Moulton

THE deceit of the Southampton Labour Party knows no bounds. Ahead of the last council election they were peddling the message that the council’s Community Language Service was safe with them and that the Conservatives would end it.

I recall one Labour councillor, now the Communities Cabinet Member, telling a packed public meeting this in 2012. Now Labour are in power they are axing the service.

When the Conservatives ran the city we protected Community Languages because we valued the work of all the dedicated volunteers and work done by all our language schools in the city.

This new Labour betrayal is the exact same scenario as Oaklands Pool: Labour say whatever it takes to get elected and then do the exact opposite when in power. They have proved time and time again that they can’t be trusted and this is just one more example.

CLLR JEREMY MOULTON, Conservative Councillor for Freemantle.

More disengenuousness from one of the Tories responsible for completely removing all community assetts from Swaythling by selling off the Youth Centre and Flower Roads community centre to finance the Sea City Mausoleum. Perhaps if his party's government had not removed over £38 million from our budget the currnt administration would not be forced to cut its spending

Is this the same Cllr Moulton who alledegdly claimed to know nothing about the proposed Sulphur Plant in the docks ...... yet alledegdl received the minutes to the meeting when it proposed.
.
Is this the same Cllr Moulton who co-presided over one of the worst council strikes which virtually brought this once fine City to its knees.
.
Is this the same Cllr Moulton who co-presided over the "Summary of Efficiencies" ....... which was to see Green Waste collection charges brought ( the area he condemned Labour for ) Reduce the City Patrol ( the area he condemned Labour for ).
.
How ironic that he tries to make others seem so untrustworthy yet for some reason feels that people have such short memories as he and his local Tories have

I wonder whether Jeremy Moulton would care to remind us of some of the promises that David Cameron made during the pre-election period.

I seem to recall that he promised to be tough on crime, and appears to think that the best way to deliver is to cut their budget.

He also promised that the NHS would be safe in his hands. A case of 'butter fingers'?

By cutting the grants to local authorities, and punishing them if they attempt to raise council tax by 2% or more, he seems to think that councils should be able to maintain the same services for less.

Of course, a tax-break for the highest earners was appreciated by those on the minimum wage, or the elderly and disabled that had their winter fuel allowance cut.

We are all in this together?

You are having a laugh!

yet again the good the bad & the ugly attacking Jeremy Moulton for daring to speak the truth?
One goes on about Swaythling but seems to forget it was a Labour Government that cut £20million from this cities budget which led to the Tory cuts so maybe he should be attacking Labour as if a council makes cuts according to the other two it's the governments fault isn't it?
Look at all the lies Labour made before those local elections shall we?
The Tories will cut front line services? we won't? what did Labour do? CUT.
The Tories will cut jobs we won't? what did Labour do? CUT
Tories will shut Libraries? what are Labour doing? cut
Didn't Williams give an interview saying all these cuts were to happen before those elections before the actual amount of cuts were known only to deny saying it to the journalist?
So here we have three amigoes one who constantly calls me a liar another who says I won't apologise when he's wrong & another who wont talk because he doesn't like the truth?
so what you can't take the truth then?

a strike which has now been proven to be political & over supposedly measures, the same measures that saved jobs & services?

So we end up with a Sulphur plant? the residents of Lower Brownhill never wanted a Lidl warehouse & Furnell promised to fight it yet Labour voted it through?

You are getting to be as disengenuous as Moulton. The Tory demise of the Swaythling infrastructure had nothing to do with government cuts, it was to finance the Sea City Mausoleum. And now of course we have a Tory government that has reduced Southamptons grant (refund) by £39 million. I just know you will not be able to see the facts, yet again.

now your becoming boring! the post was about Moulton trying to be an MP for this city.
if you read my reply I was pointing out the lack of fight our incumbent MP has for this city & using an example yes an example not a red herring showing how an MP with passion for the city she represents stands up & fights for her city whilst ours sit back & say nothing.
I also said that if after this disastrous labour council people still vote for Labour they need to see a shrink.
now tell me in all the years Whitehead has stood & fought to say save jobs at two major employees who between them employed 2,000 workers directly & thousands more indirectly?
did he fight to save Pirelli's ?

I've just had an offer on my house I've accepted so I'm moving away from this city.
I hope to continue on this site but if for some reason I can't I'll fight these blinkered left wing goonies until I move after that it's up to you so good luck!
Al blames Sea City Funding for Swaythlings demise(community hall?) can you find out exactly what grants & funding was used besides the £5million from the sell of Millbrook industrial estate?
Then post it & prove to him & the other Anti Museum poster where in fact the monies came from PLEASE?

so we have to spell it out to you again do we? I live & have done most of my life not far from that estate.
It was becoming run down & in need of repair & modernisation which would have cost us the tax payers way over the 10million we got for it.
companies were leaving so even the revenue was nose diving for the site so £10million for it.
new companies coming in & doing the repairs & modernisation at no cost to us the tax payers.
New business rates which we as a city benefitted from & £5million to pay off the Sea City Museum & £5million for front line services.
When Williams realised he had the equivalent extra money coming in from business rates & others what did he do with it?
he kept £5million for Labours pet projects & cut jobs & services so in fact that Museum cost us nothing & I'm not the only one to try to tell you this but like your other two Goonies your so entrenched in your Socialist beliefs you just can't see or admit your wrong can you?

Whether you lived near or not makes no difference. The value was in the land. Land the City Council no longer own.

Land appreciates in value for the simple reason that it cannot be manufactured.

I note that you have realised that Hythe and Dibden Bay are part of the New Forest at last.

Surprised that it has taken you so long to discover that Lordshill and Millbrook come under the administration of Southampton City Council.

Surprised that it has taken you so long to discover that Lordshill and Millbrook come under the administration of Southampton City Council.
you really are a total idiot & no longer worth replying to so GOODBYE!
When you cannot deny what I have written, you act like a spoilt child that cannot get its own way and resort to name-calling.

At least, in that respect, you are consistent.

Then post it & prove to him & the other Anti Museum poster where in fact the monies came from PLEASE?[/p]
The funding that was used from the sell-off of Millbrook Industrial Estate amounts to funding by the City's Council-tax payers.[/p]
so we have to spell it out to you again do we? It was becoming run down & in need of repair & modernisation which would have cost us the tax payers way over the 10million we got for it. companies were leaving so even the revenue was nose diving for the site so £10million for it. new companies coming in & doing the repairs & modernisation at no cost to us the tax payers. This really does make me chuckle.... I am sorry which party outsourced the Leisure Centres, Itchen Bridge and pretty much anything that they could get their hands on? TORIES! Stop putting down Labour 24/7 because Tories put measures in place or in progress and then another political party takes over and OHHHHHH then Labour or opposite party get the blame all the time... get a grip!
