RE your article (Daily Echo, March 15), showing once again a lorry having hit the bridge in Romsey.

I obtained a PSV licence in the 1980s and undertook some coach driving, and it was always a concern to me and to others that low bridges and narrow roads are a huge problem to large vehicles.

There are usually no warnings, until you actually are there, facing it.

It was one of the reasons I gave up.

I passed the PSV driving test first attempt, as I did with my motorcycle. I also needed no driving lessons to gain my car licence. But today, I find driving a real hassle and I don’t enjoy it at all.

  • ONCE again we have everyone saying that the bridge junction is dangerous.

There is no such thing as a dangerous bridge, only dangerous drivers.

If a driver doesn’t know the height of his vehicle then he should not be driving. It’s that simple.
