EU departure would be a gift
Barry Burton (Letters, March 7) asks if the remainder of the United Kingdom will have to apply to rejoin the European Union as a new country, if Scotland leaves.
If Scotland’s departure from the UK leads to the escape of all of the present UK from the EU, that will be a gift from God to the British people.
With one bound we could be free at last. Free after 40 years held captive by the mafia-infested den of thieves in Brussels known as the European Commission.
