USERS with Scottish and Southern Energy (SEE) experienced a power cut in our area on Monday, March 31, which was, I am told, a major fault with the motherboard on the underground site they were working on.

This cut, from early pm through to around 10pm, must have been quite an inconvenience to many, with babies and young children, the elderly and infirm, the sick, the shift workers and others coming home for their hot meal – the list can go on.

However, it was good to be kept informed of progress throughout and it was very good to learn of the mobile welfare canteen that had been sited in the area with hot meals and hot drinks for the inconvenienced.

Well done SEE. You made the best of a poor situation and your female staff were great in keeping us updated on progress.
