COMPETITION is the modern disease. Everything has to be a competition.

We can’t just sing or dance or cook or garden for the joy of it. We must subject participants to nail-biting worry over who will win and terrible disappointment for those who don’t win.

Now to crown it all we have a competitive Songs of Praise, and I thought this was a religious service in which folk worship their God in fellowship. Utterly disgusting.
