Queen’s tax bill

Queen’s tax bill

First published in Readers' Letters

I SEE that the Queen has received a £5 million rise.

Seems a lot, but you have to take expenses into consideration.

Think about all the palaces and castles she owns. Consider how many unused bedrooms there might be in those properties.

Consider what she will be paying in “spare bedrooms tax”.

Soon adds up doesn't it?

Think how many years she has been in the job, and how many hours a day that she puts in.

How does that compare with your work record A Caws?

As she is a 'non-political' person, and does not have a vote, I don't think that Cameron's quote applied to her.

Her Majesty will soon be 85.

How many doctors and nurses are there still working at that age?

The main benefit of this wonderful old lady(sorry your Majesty) is that she is there to prevent the likes of Comrade Blair and Brown from declaring themselves President for life.
She has been all her life the most important person in this country and has given everything for the benefit of the country and has never even at the age of 85 given less than 100%.
Long may you reign, Charles has a difficult job to follow!

Mr Geoff. Wow. When were not discussing cyclists I normally agree with you, like today.

Does the op think the queen is on benefits. No, she gets paid for her services to the country and empire, she brings in more money than we pay her.

So why should she have to pay the bedroom tax?

They are probably the most famous family in the world. I think she does a great job and puts many people half her age to shame.
