I THINK Southampton supporters who have already purchased their season ticket should be entitled to a discount off our tickets as we are not getting what we paid for.
If they can’t do that, as a gesture of goodwill we should be entitled to FREE cup tickets when the time comes. We wouldn’t expect to go to a theatre and then find the stars not appearing.
There are probably some supporters who would not have bought a ticket if they had known that nearly half the team would be gone, especially as four of them are English.
No wonder the England team doesn’t do very well, it’s about time the FA said that clubs must play at least seven home-grown players in their team.
Money has ruined the game with the obscene amount the players are paid. Also, what is the point of signing five-year contracts then leaving after one? A pity there are not more footballers around like Matt Le Tissier – loyal to club and fans.
