FOR more than 30 years I have walked the public footpath from Veals Lane, Marchwood, to Hythe.
The footpath went round the back of a small hotel on to the Hythe road. When the hotel became a large care home, the path went to the front.
ABP have now blocked the exit. There is a narrow track off the path to Hythe, but with rain it becomes deep mud.
Does ABP have an agenda? If the walkers cannot get to Hythe, they won’t use the footpath. ABP may then get it closed.
