I AM concerned that there is an actual prejudice against over 60s who continue working.

Rather than praise for still contributing to society you get a level of criticism that you are taking others’ jobs and people look at you as though you must have a few screws loose to even want to work.

All international statistics show that you are, in health terms both mentally and physically, better off not retiring. You can also still feel you are contributing to society.

Statistics also seem to show that by older people continuing working it increases the overall size of the economy and actually contributes to the total overall level of employment.

Older people still working seem to better accept those who by choice retired and it would be good if those who did retire had a greater understanding of the real wish of many to continue to be active as an employee.
