Colin Smith, of the New Forest Conservatives, is doing a great public service to inform your readers that three of our six Liberal Democrat councillors were unable to get along to the 15-minute meeting of New Forest District Council last week (Letters, November 1).
This is unusual. Our group normally has a very good attendance record and I know Colin would not like to give your readers the wrong impression.
I’m a little surprised that Colin forgot to mention how many Conservative councillors were missing from the meeting.
Would he like to tell us? Was it twice as many, three times as many, or four times as many?
There is only one thing worse than a spin doctor. It’s a spin doctor that isn’t very good at the job!
