It is very clear that this decision has concerned a great many people and rightly so.
It is my view that a person who occupies public office must be subject to greater scrutiny than others who are not.
After all in our legal system greater punishment is awarded for those who occupy positions of trust and betray that trust.
Destroying records of MPs’ expenses only serves to raise suspicion of their motives.
MPs, who are representatives of the peo-ple, should have a care about how they conduct their affairs and their integrity should be unquestionable.
