RECENTLY I was returning from a family get-together. Turning a corner on my mobility scooter, I overshot the kerb and my scooter turned over into the road.
Help arrived in seconds. Local people came to my aid. I was inside the canopy and could not move.
A lady took charge and stopped people trying to lift me, and called an ambulance.
While I waited for the ambulance this lady brought a blanket and covered me. This was in Shirley.
I wish to thank that lady, her husband and the others who helped. The ambulance arrived, plus the police. I was treated with great care and courtesy by our public services. Once again, thank you all.
