JOE LOCKYER (Letters, November 19) points out the waste of NHS cash in Southampton predicated by the existence of THREE health bodies in our city.
As Cllr Royston Smith pointed out at the critical Bitterne Walk-In Centre meeting, it costs £1.4m to run, with 12 full-time equivalent staff; why?
I have another question for our present MP John Denham, put to him by me personally outside my home two weeks ago: What is John Denham MP going to do in furtherance of my ongoing campaign to reinstate ONE mental health Social Club in South-ampton?
Once again, it is Dr Coates and Southampton CCG who are refusing to fund the very moderate costs!
TOM DOAK, Weston, Southampton.
