I WAS disturbed to read in the Your Say feature on page two of the Echo (December 16) that a youngster, aged 8, when asked what was the most exciting gift received at Christmas, responded that he’d been given an Xbox360 along with Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty.
My understanding is that these games are for 18 years plus. They are extremely violent. I would ask his parents what do they think they are doing giving a primary aged pupil such a game?
All sense of rights, wrongs and values are lost but the fact that the child is only eight years old beggars belief! Young minds are in danger of being warped by this stuff. Why ignore the ratings?
