‘Petulant’ to attack John Lewis in editor’s column
IT was rather petulant of Daily Echo editor-in-chief Ian Murray (End of the Week, December 19) to castigate John Lewis for not contributing to the Echo Christmas Tree Appeal.
I have no involvement with John Lewis, but they appear to have an enlightened attitude to their staff and customers, and have a good reputation for community relations generally.
No one, even Bill Gates, could respond positively to every request for money.
Stop throwing your toys out the pram Ian!
