Why does the Labour Party still harp on about freezing the energy bills for everyday people?

These companies are not publically owned and in many cases are foreign.

I ask Labour, what happens if those companies decide to pull out of Britain? And what happens to all the British investors who would not be receiving any interest from their shares?

‘Everyday people’ need that income, especially as none of the saving institutions offer any reasonable return. And why is that?

Because Labour are totally hopeless when it comes to finances and took their eye off the banks.

Labour became a political force just over 100 years ago, and Britain lost its status and influence around the world ever since.

Sadly, the Conservatives are not much better.

Whereas the Liberals have been with us since the 1600s, if you go back through the Whigs.

It is their turn to govern again, and let’s just see if they can indeed do a better job.

Importantly, they are respected by the EU countries and we, Britain, should be taking advantage of that position, being the third largest member.

Richard Grant, Burley.
