THERE is a saying about being in the right place at the wrong time.

This was true of the collection which Macmillan held on Friday 13 and Saturday, 14 March in the Lordshill District Centre.

We had applied to the Civic Centre to collect on those days but we were not aware it coincided with a collection for Red Nose Day outside Sainsbury’s.

However our collectors stood in other parts of the centre and raised a magnificent £524.42 in spite of the counter attraction.
