WITH reference to the Echo story ‘Neighbour Forgiven For String Of Violent Attacks’ (Echo March 9), I thought it was nice of Mr Cox to send this serial offender a Christmas card, at least Mr Cox understood Kevin’s problems.
It was stated that Kevin Jones had 35 previous offences. He also had drink problems, and a personality disorder.
How sad that the judge, Peter Henry, did not have the same feelings as Mr Cox, by sending him to prison for 28 months. Was it not obvious that this young man needs some sort of help from the authorities, not time in prison? What good will that do? So much for justice.
