EVANGELIST Billy Graham's daughter was asked in an interview how God could allow terrible things such as the terrorist attack on the twin towers to happen.

This is a precis of her reply: I believe God is saddened by this just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, our government and our lives, and He has done just that.

How can we expect God to give us His protection if we demand He leave us alone?

Some said: "We don't want prayers said or the Bible (which says thou shalt not kill or steal, but love your neighbour as yourself) read in schools".

Dr Spock said we should not spank our children because we might damage their self-esteem (his son commited suicide). Others said teachers should not discipline children when they misbehave.

Yet others, that we allow our children to have abortions without the necessity to tell their parents, and give our boys condoms, and we won't tell parents they got them from school.

The entertainment industry make films and shows promoting profanity, violence and illicit sex, records are produced encouraging rape, drugs, murder and suicide.

Sunday is now just another day.

And we said OK.

Now we ask why children have no conscience, don't know right from wrong, and don't respect people or property.

How simple it is to trash God and wonder why the world is in a mess. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

We are more concerned about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

We reap what we sow.
