You can tell an elections coming when you have the spectacle of politicians campaigning against their own decisions.

I have a perfectly simple request for John Denham and Rowenna Davies. Tell your own Labour council not to close our libraries.

Instead tell them to cut the councillors by a third. Reducing the councillors will save 500,000 a year according to the echo. The libraries closing saves 300,000 a year.

Even Labour should be able to work out that 500,000 saved is more than 300,000 saved.
