I WENT online early just after 9am on Monday to buy Bob Dylan tickets for his October concert at Southampton Guildhall.

I was in luck and got two tickets standing face value at £66.50. I expected a booking fee but when I went to pay, with mark up and processing charge, it came to over £300 pounds.

I know they could sell these tickets over and over, but I will not pay, it legend or not.

I wonder if Bob, who tries to bring his shows to smaller venues, knows that the face value of his tickets actually bear no resemblance to the actual price.

I tried to buy them from the actual Guildhall box office but they said no available tickets and actually on their site push you towards these premium ticket firms.

I thought the Guildhall was owned by the people of Southampton but we have sold its soul and it is now enslaved to these high class ticket touts.
