RICHARD Grant writes in his letter dated May 18 that “UKIP are now in meltdown”. Nothing could be further from the truth.

In the 2010 General Election we polled a million votes, some 3 per cent of the vote. Then this year we got 3.9 million votes, some 13 per cent.

How can Mr Grant say we are dissolving? He knows with first-past-the-post system it does not convert votes to seats.

I would say the party he so enthusiastically supports is disappearing into the ethers!
