HAMBLE Lane is increasingly congested and chaotic at the best of times.
If Eastleigh Borough Council implement aspects of their local plan the results will be disastrous.
The increasing volumes of traffic that will be generated will lead to gridlock and dangerous levels of pollution.
One report that is available states that with a proposed car park at Hamble Station this will alleviate the traffic issues on Hamble Lane!!
Do these people live in cloud cuckoo land?
It seems that they are going to railroad their plans through anyhow, ignoring valid and common sense statements from local people.
This “consultation”process is a transparently obvious tool to quieten real concerns.
We also have increasing numbers of Lycra clad cyclists using Hamble Lane holding up traffic whilst the Dani King cycle way adjacent to the road remains generally cyclist free.
I am afraid there are many more accidents waiting to happen.
Peter Hyde, Hamble
