Silverlake Stadium
I CONGRATULATE Eastleigh FC on how far they have come since starting as Swaythling Athletics in 1946.
I am wondering if there is anyone around who played for that team at that time?
My husband Fred Weaver joined the team in 1947 to play on the junior side although Dereck came and asked him to play in the summer side on many Saturdays.
Fred would have been 94 years old this year but sadly he passed away suddenly on February 6, 1957.
