UTTERLY amazing, those who have taken the retrograde step of leading us out of Europe now want to build bridges with the Remain camp.

Let us be clear, those politicians who have led us out of Europe are the very people who have undermined our membership of the European Union for the last 42 years.

They now have the audacity to tell those of us who support our European membership that the fight for the heart and soul of belonging to a single market, which delivers free movement of goods and services, stimulates competition and trade, improves efficiency, raises quality, and helps cut prices is over. I don’ think so somehow.

1 The EU is the largest economy in the world with 500 million consumers.

2 The EU is the world’s largest trading block in manufacture goods and services.

3 The EU is the top trading partner for 80 countries. By comparison the US is the top trading partner for a little over 20 countries.

4 The EU is the most open to developing countries importing more from developing countries than the USA, Canada, Japan and China put together.

Farage, Johnson and Gove believe we can be a member of this trade block on our terms and Germany will only too obliging and open the door and all we need to do is simply demand access to it. Really! I have a horrible feeling the three musketeers are going to find out very quickly that there is a huge difference between political rhetoric and political realism.

A blank piece of paper with a huge question mark (?) transcribed in the middle does not constitute a plan, but that is actually what we have, which is why any bridge built would be washed away due to the torrent of misleading information which will flow down stream shortly.

I will wait to see who presses the exit button and activates “Article 50” the escalator to leaving the European Union, it could be the longest pass the parcel competition known to man.
